I find it intriguing how often a given player gets very hot on a weekend and wins, or does very well, in multiple events. When it seems like they can do nothing wrong and every break goes their way, all week or all weekend.

There are numerous examples of this. Stick and Dmitriy this past weekend, Carter at the recent CSI. Any number of times where individuals have won an ABT event and a Masters event in the same weekend. I had my dream weekend in Michigan '09 winning the Masters and losing in the Championship Consolation final.

Of course it goes the other way, too -- how many of us have gone 'zero for the weekend'? Even happens to the great players. Malcolm went 0-3 without scoring a point several years ago in Peoria. Ed O', I believe, went 0-10 in Monte Carlo one year including six losses in the Super Jackpot.

Such a fickle game. I suppose that is why so many of us are intrigued by the game, and love the game.
