The advantage is, they are playing under less pressure. My match, with a clock, will require more concentration and skill to properly allocate time and to be concerned about proper use of time. The same will be true of my opponent. The rest of the contestants can play a more relaxed, and less tense game. I will have to use more mental energy. A clock, for most people, adds a skill factor and an additional factor to contend with. Actually, I like that challenge, and I think it adds to the game...but I don't want to have to face challenges that are not equal across the board.
