1. Normally making the 5pt is better than anchoring on the 21pt. Here White has a fairly threatening attacking position with 10 checkers flexibly positioned in the zone. Also, making the 5pt breaks the 8pt. This is probably close but I will make the 5pt. Trailing in the match, I think we generally should focus more on increasing our own gammons rather than reducing our opponent's gammons.

2. We can play completely safely with 15/8, or play more flexibly leaving just 2 shots with 15/11 8/5, or we can attack with 8/1*. It's essentially GG so I'll attack with 8/1*.

3. We could advance our anchor, but White has enough attacking possibilities that I think it's better to keep an anchor in her board. We're not ahead in the race so advancing the anchor doesn't seem so urgent. 18/16 6/5.
