The quote was meant in humor. For you to be in a position where you think you might be too good, but at the same time not good enough, is quite a difficult and unusual position. The point of the quote is if you are that clueless about the position, at least keep your mouth shut.

Now, I am sure there are some positions at some scores where this conundrum applies, but it is rare, and quite complicated, and you can't find the answer with some generalization such as you should always cube or never cube.

Again, this was meant as humor, and as in all attempts at humor, there are some that will take it seriously, be offended, take issue, or not think it is funny even if they knew that was the intent. I don't condemn anyone who took the quote seriously, but at the same time, I am sure that some people must have seen the humor of the quote...I certainly thought it was funny or I wouldn't have posted it.
