I think it can be a plus in more physical sports whereas I would argue in poker it's always bad. It depends on the person and how that person handles certain situations. The obvious example is McEnroe getting worked up. Other players who let out their frustrations in such a way would destroy their game but it's who Mc was, what he needed, what worked for him.
