Question for Stick

it's 1994 world backgammon champion Frank Frigo's
Just a side note, I hate that introduction lol. I really don't give a shit what you've won in backgammon (or poker for that matter), I make my own calls on who is worth listening to. Going into this article I knew zero about Frank so I took it at face value, I'm still waiting on my change.
To assert that no single hand can be much worse than 3:1 all-in preflop against any other hand would indeed be false. But nowhere in the article does Frank say state, infer or imply any such thing. But Bob covered that in r.g.bg., so
Again, I believe it does infer it.
If the beginner simply goes all-in on every hand he will guarantee that the match will be decided on a single hand at some point. While this is far from the optimal strategy, it assures the beginner of being no worse than approximately a 3:1 underdog
If that isn't some kind of inference I don't know what is... also as I mentioned on rgb I posted on the GL forums at the time about this article and it was replied to, since the forums have changed format since then my posting is lost.
But what two cards -- what percentage of hands -- should the pro call with?
I would need more info, such as the blinds, antes, stack sizes, how often the blinds were going up, etc...
There are also things that haven't been touched upon such as what if the pro, being first to act, moves all in, what was the :cough: "raw beginner" taught to do now??
