Playing 7/2 must be good, to be able to bear off with a two if necessary. It seems it risks rolling an ace next turn, and not be able to complete the bearin. But missing this way with an ace next roll doesn't really harm us, because we will be certain to bear off in the roll after that, in any case. Maybe it doesn't matter, but it can't do any harm to play 7/2.
