Nactations of 43D-44 and 54D-44 — 2012 Update

Since the advent of the Hit Convention as the first part of the Hit/More/Six Rule, the Nactations used in this thread for B and D have become obsolete. The table below gives up-to-date, non-assumptive Nactations for for 43D-44 and 54D-44. To make a long story short, the old upper case B is now lower case b, and the old upper case D is now upper case B.
Nactations of 43D-44 and 54D-44 Nactation Traditional Notation Note B (Both) 24/16*, 13/9(2) In the B (Both) family for doublets, Far:Down:Jump:Inside = 2:2:0:0. b (Both) 24/20(2), 13/9(2) Hitting outranks making a new point. C (Cross) 24/16*, 8/4(2) In the C (Cross) family for doublets, Far:Down:Jump:Inside = 2:0:2:0. c (Cross) 24/20(2), 8/4(2) Hitting outranks making a new point. E (Each) 24/16*, 6/2(2) In the E (Each) family for doublets, Far:Down:Jump:Inside = 2:0:0:2. e (Each) 24/20(2), 6/2(2) Hitting outranks making a new point. H (Hit) 24/16*, 13/9(2) Plays that hit loose, and only once, belong in the H (Hit) family. After hitting, preference is given to playing down. R (Run) 24/16*(2) Because it hits and makes a point, rather than hitting loose, this cannot be nactated in the H (Hit) family. Mike
