Don't get hit...by the straggler! 13/6 does minimise the shots but is not as effective. 21/14 maximises the pressure on white's mid and creates an opportunity to make the 8pt while maintaining the 14pt. White's 21 hitting roll (owning the cube) is a tough decision, IMO. Furthermore, placing spares on a prime is incorrect thinking. Blue is not in position to attack the lone white checker.
