I don't like just sitting on the ace patiently waiting to lose so leaping out with 24/17 is my intuitive response. But this seems to lead to a lot of gammon losses and not very many wins. Where gammons didn't count I'd leap, but here I think I have to tough it out and play an ace point game and try to avoid the gammon. Whether it gives any more wins is open for debate.

So I'll play 9/2 and hope to get out of this for only 2 points.
