But why is 65R-43 Z rather than S?

At face value attempting to make the 5 point seems stronger. Is it that there are more Point making rolls after sloting the 10?

Priming a single checker doesn't generally seem like the game plan against 1 checker back but I suppose I'm going to need points to blitz as well.

Am I thinking about this right?
