8/7(3) 2/1 looked nextish to me. With a 23-pip lead we want to come home safely, and isn't a bar point a much bigger help in clearing the mid than an 8 point and empty bar point?

And most of the safe plays after 8/7(3) 2/1 play o.k. Many of the safe plays after other plays are quite awkward.
