This is an unexpected result. All the posters in this thread, including me, played $ = Slot (13/9 6/5). Dmitriy suggests that the bot just wants to bide its time. A shot awaits the patient. It may be that Whites poor development is the key. Many 5s and 6s cause White to cough up a blot right away. Slotting offers White the option of a diverting hit on some of his awkward rolls.
I looked briefly for a well-played sequence that leads to a similar 41 where slotting is best, but could not find one.
