As you see, the 23 anchor is best, and the choice between 7/3 or 8/4 is close.

I came in on the 21 and made the 5 without much thought. White's one-point board with blot on ace did not seem threatening. Just spread em out and make the best point.
I guess all that wood is coming down on us soon enough. And once we make the anchor, we'll have some time to build the board. But I still don't "see" it.
Can anyone give a clearer reason why the anchor is so necessary that might help my vision in the future?
