Your second and third tables provide the correct interpretation of the (underlined) E family. They appear to be identical except for the entry in the lower right corner, which should be "5pt 24pt." (Shifting points is a clean transaction that does not create a blot/spare destination.)

    E = bar/24 6/5 6/4 (dest 5 5 4)
    e = bar/24 6/3 (dest 5 4 3)
    E = bar/22 6/5 (dest 5 22 23 24)
    e = bar/23 24/23 6/5 (dest 5 23 23 24)
    E = bar/24 6/4 5/4 (makes inferior 4pt)

As you point out, the best backgammon play (bar/22 6/5) will head its family as E when the revised doublets table is introduced.
