We are ahead in the race and Stick has a closed board. I’m tempted to avoid contact, and play 5/1 4/1. But Stick is unlikely to crunch next roll. Does it make sense to pay now? If Stick hits, he will cube us out. If he misses, we are likely (but not certain) to win the game. OTB, I’m pretty sure I would pay later. So, I guess that should be my vote. But, Ian’s and Mislav’s reasoning convinces me that paying now with the loose hit is likely better.
