math degrees for backgammon giants

Nack and Jake do not have math degrees, but I do not know of any giants with higher IQs than theirs.

In a previous incarnation, I was a bit of a match prodigy. Got my A.B. from Vanderbilt with a major in math when I was 20, and got my M.S. with a major in math from Purdue when I was 22. Then I decided to take the rest of my life off, and I have nothing since then, except for this one important discovery: I take full credit for being the first person to notice the remarkable coincidence that all six numbers on the doubling cube are even.

I am reasonably sure that Doug Zare finished his Ph.D. in math when he was still a teenager.
