math degrees for backgammon giants

It would also be interesting to know what percent of top poker, bridge and chess players have math degrees. Out of all the , "mindgames" my guess is that backgammon requires greater math skills than the others, while the others require greater skills in other areas that are not needed as much in backgammon.
It would also be interesting to know what the average IQ is of the top backgammon players compared to that of the top players in other games.
Lastly, it would be interesting to compare math skills and IQ's of top backgammon players to math skills and IQ's of top scientists and professors.
These studies, of course, will never be done and the information probably impossible to get except on pure speculation or anecdotally, but I would suspect that the results would show that most of our top scientists and professors have probably wasted their lives as they could have been great backgammon players if they had only applied themselves and had better priorities in their lives.
