Yes, I think it is better approach.

Well, here I think split is must, so 24/21, bcuz if white make 8pt or 4pt he has clear cube and with us not at the edge of the prime it could be very efficient double.

For ace choice is between 24/23 and 6/5. I prefer 6/5. It diversify more and avoid to give white some good 6s.

24/21 6/5 for me.
