A mediocre throw. We can't improve the offense to catch up. So we have to look at the defense. We have to split. Outboarded 2:1, and what is for me more important, twelve working checkers for the prime field 8/3, the danger is real to face a priming battle with an unflexible front position on our side.
So it boils down to the question: minor versus major split?
If we make the minor split, we have to strip the midpoint. That is bad. We lost the possibility to fire on an enemy which pottles into the outfield without breaking the midpoint.
Second. Imagine we are pointed. Coming in, we have no more playability on the midpoint.
Third. The minor split starts an anchor, we don't want to have against a growing prime. But the bar point started, is a threat. If we can make the bar, the priming danger vanishes. If we are hit, we have returns. And we have the split from the bar to make an anchor.
Fourth. Bringing the battle to the bar point keeps the war away from the house. The tiny little beast can't make a third door.
All in all, it is not so difficult. Double money for the major split.
24/18.
