1. If we anchor with 24/21, what's the ace? 24/23, 11/10, 8/7*, 3/2? 11/10 and 8/7* don't make much sense to me. 24/23 seems a bit better than 3/2. If we don't anchor, what do we play? 11/7* or 13/10 11/10 seem to be the main candidates. Blocking White's anchor looks better than hitting. My first inclination was to anchor in order to prevent White from extending her prime. However, as I look at the position more, I like blocking with 13/10 11/10 better. We're behind in the race, and it's DMP, so getting off the ace point and anchoring isn't as urgent as it might be otherwise. 13/10 11/10.

2. I'd play the obvious 24/23 12/8 here. 23/22 is an alternative for the ace, but I think we're better off trying for a deuce-point game.
