The choices are 20/16, 8/5 8/7 or 8/4*, and I don't like any of them much.

I think 8/5 8/7 is the correct blend of passivity and aggression. We threaten to attack without getting into a battle where we are outboarded. Running looks like the wrong idea when we trail in the race.
