The results of that investigation indicated that to the best of Absolute Poker’s knowledge, information and belief there was no security breach. Specifically, Absolute Poker’s internal investigation determined that it is impossible for any person, device, program, script or other means to see hole cards.
Rofl ... really? For some reason this reminds me of pit bosses trying to catch blackjack counters. If you don't know how to play the game yourself how in the hell are you going to recognize if someone else is abusing the game? Even the piss poorest pro could break down 382 reasons why there is no doubt something beyond fishy was going on with those hands.
The cheater, whose illegitimate winnings were estimated at between $400,000 and $700,000 by one victim, was an employee of AbsolutePoker.com who hacked the system to show that it could be done, said a spokesman for the company, who spoke with msnbc.com on condition of anonymity
"Hacked the system"!! Hack the planet!!!!! We have few and far between of the details so it's tough to draw any conclusions, but the way it appears is that someone with access already aided in the rape of AP. If you have inside access it's not much of a 'hack' though I guess it does make it look better when reporting the news... If it was a really hacker he'd have never been caught and would still be pilfering money daily from AP and they'd never be the wiser.
The fact that AP flat out denied the possibility of it when initially reported burns them to the ground. I don't care what is found from here on out, they tried to cover it up, they're up there on my list with P65.
