I agree with Neil that there is nothing wrong with the game which as been around for millenniums. Instead of changing the game by changing the starting position, I think there are more changes needed in the formats and the match length. Nothing more boring to me playing or watching a long match to 21 or more points. Itīs boring and becomes only interesting in the final stage, I noticed. If so, why not shorten the matches to an interesting length (5? 7?) but to be played in a "best of 3 / best of 5" per round?
