You say it will be faster, as backgames and blitzes will be less likely. You seem to imply that this is a good thing. If you want to make it faster still, we could start with our back chequers on the midpoints (though that may be going too far for you).

I don't see how less involvement is desirable, in terms of both excitement and in the challenge of the game. Backgames are great!
