Peever vs Kenji: Two DMP Checker Plays

1. Bar/22 is clear and then we can play 24/22, 13/11, or 6/4*. My first instinct is to hit. Gammons don't count and we want to contain White's straggler if we can. We could instead make a point and hope for a better opportunity later. Not sure, but when in doubt, hit. 6/4*.
2. Nice one! 7/5*/1 is the first play that leaps to my eye, but I don't think we want to allow White to hang out on our 2pt. So then I looked at 7/3 8/6 and 7/1. But then I saw 6/2 4/2, which leaves fewer shots and closes off the 2pt for good. The only advantage that 7/1 has is that it leaves NO shots. But it leaves the door open to future problems. I think 6/2 4/2 is best. It's an interesting psychological question why I didn't even see it until I'd studied the position for 20 or 30 seconds.
