Responding to Timothy's Question re Giants' List

Timothy asked, "I'd be interested in some of your nominees for most underrated players who don't appear anywhere on the new list. What about Kenji for example? Or Mikael Jensen?"
There are only nine Danes on the top-64 list, when the reality is this: Of the world's 64 best players (defined as those with the lowest average XG PRs in matches), I believe at least twenty and probably more are Danes. Many of these Danes seldom or never play outside Denmark; as a result, they are not well known outside their home country. Some of those who represented Denmark against the world team competition at the Nordic (the Danish team always seems to defeat the world team) were not voted into the top-64 list.
In addition to the Danes, I believe there are a few players from Japan, Sweden and Norway who play better than 4.5 on average (much better than many on the top-64 list), but were not included on the list. Some from these three countries probably play better than 4.0.
Stuart Thomson is a Canadian who has lived in Atlanta for the last fifteen years. He is active in his local club, but his only ABT event of the year is in Atlanta. Stuart averages about 3.6, better than many on the top-32 list.
Perhaps in a week or two I will make a long post on this site entitled something like: "The Giants' List: Historical Perspective, Commentary and Suggestions."
