Klaus asked, "How do you know the average PR of these three players that you refer to? Live or online?"
I am talking about live PRs. In the case of the one who plays over 8, we have a mutual friend who knows and has told me. In the case of the one who plays over 9, quite a few live matches have been recorded. In the case of the one who plays over 10, I was being charitable and generous in my assessment of his level of play. Please do not ask me for more details because I do not want to publically embarrass anyone on this forum.
Klaus also asked, "If the list were a ranking of the live match average PR, would #32 play an average of 3.5? Higher, or lower?"
Good question. Iancho says that fewer than twenty play below 4.0 online, but I believe there are many good players who seldom (if ever) play online and are therefore not on Iancho's list.
I admit that I do not know the answer to the question above, but if I had to guess, here is my response. Let's assume, as Klaus suggests, that we had some way of obtaining an accurate list of the best 32 players in the world, in terms of average live PR. I believe that #32 on this accurate theoretical list would probably play somewhere between 3.5 and 4.0.
In other words, I believe there are probably more than 32 people on the planet who play with a live PR of under 4.0. Quite a few of these live in Denmark. I admit I could be wrong, and I welcome the opinions of others.
Let me take my turn and ask you a question. How many people in your great home country of Denmark play with a live PR of 3.5 or better? How many play 4.0 or better?
