Stuck behind a 6 prime, how best to proceed?

Not hitting is clear, but not stepping up is less clear to me, because I believe there are related positions where stepping up is worth the risk of getting hit because it puts pressure on the rear point of White's prime. Especially when we have a big board advantage, getting hit loose isn't such a big deal. If stepping up is wrong here, I think it's because White's spares are positioned so flexibly.

It would be interesting to see what happens if Blue's 4pt gap is moved deeper into his board.
