During the little bit that I watched today (Sunday), the color was much improved.

That might be due to or camera change, but, more likely, it is due to the neutral-colored boards I viewed today. The black-and-white board that you (Justin) used in your match against MCG is ideal for web cams. The gray background is what the auto white-balance locks on, and the resulting color is near perfect.

Your experiences serve as a lesson for would-be video tapers (such as Taper_Mike!). When you purchase a backgammon board, give strong consideration to a black-and-white color scheme. Solid-color dice are also easier to see on a web cast.
