Out and in, 21/15 8/4. Don't want one checker sent back, much less two -- bye-bye board. So, 9 shots at one checker or 33 at two? White will hit! The spare on the 4 is not dead yet, since it can still go to the three point, and it helps Blue keep the 4 point.

Chuck, it doesn't matter here, but in this series, have you noticed any plays that would be different at score where backgammons counted?
