Pointing out the obvious this is one of the reasons you should generally stick with the same openings unless there's a good reason to deter from what you're accustomed to. If you play 32S at normal match scores you will be more familiar with the third roll positions and the types of games that arise after said opening. I prefer 32S to 32D in general even though they're somewhat close according to rollouts. (not close enough for me and I just don't like 32D)

That being said, it also shows you the importance of experimenting with opening plays that you will be forced to play, like it or not, according to score. While I don't like 32D at normal scores, there are scores and perhaps even opponents where I know it's definitely correct so I should do my best to familiarize myself with its follow up also.

I'm sure I have a rollout for this that I'll post tomorrow.
