With your 2-1 I'd play 13/11 24/23. 13/11 24/23 sort of duplicates White's numbers aiming at both five points, but he'd hit you with 23 numbers and he can use most of the rest to make a good inner board point or either bar point. I think the downside of 3 back is worse than the upside of a better board. I don't see a third play.

With Steve's 4-1 I'd have made his play, too. I suppose the normal response to 52 down must be 41 down and slot, right? Tell me it's also right leading 2-away 5-away and I shall mend my ways!
