Itīs not about me. And I donīt claim to be God Almighty and to know everyone. But Iīm sure I know a lot more players, have watched them, discussed backgammon problems with them and followed their performances offline, online and in money play, than a lot of other voters.

And I donīt blame most voters for not knowing who they vote for and base their vote partly on popularity and names. But itīs a fact. Most European voters donīt know many of the US players and vice-versa. And I personally think that more Japanese should figure among the 64 than currently present, instead of (as an example) Francois Tardieu who has not played in the past 2 years or Nack. Both are simply extraordinary when it comes to their knowledge of the game, but hey, you donīt play, you donīt rely on your past performances.....
