Basically, it breaks down to something like this:
Against players that does not play perfect you can clearly gain an advantage by adjusting. Mainly your cube play, but sometimes even your checkerplay.
Cubeplay adjustments are obvious due to the asymmetric MET.
Checkerplay adjustments Fall in two categories:
1) MET related, due to changed gammonvalues.
2) Steering into complet positions early on, avoiding races.
When playing stronger opponents, the gain diminishes MET Wise, and the possibility of making more errors adjusting, become Real.
