Blue is a small favorite in the position. When winning, it is often right to avoid leaving a shot. However, clearing the six point leaves four checkers on the three point. This is to be avoided whenever possible. Blue wants to hold as many points as he can as long as possible. Stacks of four make this more difficult. In the following variation, clearing the six point is much more appealing since the stack of four is avoided.

So, clearing the six point is out. That leaves two choices for our original position; 3-off, 2-off and 6-4, 3-off. Both plays leave a five point board and a shot. The extra checker off is worth a lot. It is fundamental to take off an additional checker in these positions as long as the board can be held. In a speed game, this would be my play. However, when missed there are many rolls which will require Blue to break another point next turn with a repeat of the shot. After 6-4, 3-off Blue holds his five point board on everything except big doubles and 6-5.
6-4, 3-off looks like a redouble to four after a miss, but not 3-off, 2-off. The repeat shots make it better to hold the cube avoiding a double out after being hit.
I probably wouldn't have found it OTB, but 6-4, 3-off looks best. At DMP without the recube considerations, I would make the fundamental play and take off two.
