White still has his board, so I am not in favor of “pre-clearing” the 8pt here. I want White to crack before we do that. If we bring the checker on the 12pt in to the 5pt, we will still have a few spare fives and sixes we can play while waiting for the small numbers we need to clear from the rear. Double-sixes will force a blot, but we can handle any other six.
