Simple minds like mine like 13/8 here.

Stick's blots are not sufficient for me to give him something to shoot at, they also mean that he can build his board fast.

Starting two points is also good, esp as the race is all but even. However, I like the flexibility of the builders on the 8 point. Our next plays will probably play neatly after 13/8, while some of the 1's are a little awkward after 6/4 8/5
