QF dictates that life is not that easy and maybe 6/5/1 is the correct answer but I would have picked & passed in a heartbeat OTB

OTB I would not have been able to reproduce Daniel's analysis of 7/4, 7/6 but would not have went for it anyway.

QF dictates a brief look 6/2*, 5/4 and 6/5/1. The former does not appear likely - it gives blue 50% wins straight off (White not hit blot; blue cover - 25/36 followed by 25/36 - 625/1296 ~ 50% wins) but if blue is hit, he is then scratching round to salvage the game.

6/5/1 means that white either rolls a 6 next go or is may have to start breaking his home board (any 5, most 4s (save 41, 42),33,22). If white does not roll a 6, 65 and 52 do not play well next roll but a lot of other other rolls put blue at a real advantage
