There is a snow ball chance in hell I would have dropped this. First of all he hasn't escaped that last man. And ,as they say, 4 prime is longer than you think. Although you have 3 men on the ace, race is roughly even. No doubt White is a favorite, but he got a LOT of work to do. Still needs to fill in 5pt, still need to bring those checkers home, still needs to jump that prime and make sure nothing goes back that way. 8 point is gone which is very important with 8 men still need to be brought in. Spare on his 4pt is misplaced. If you later roll a 4 and split, missed 8 pt and misplaced spare on 4pt will feel. I wouldn't have doubled, but the fact several people dropped this may mean I am wrong from practical point of view. I wouldn't have beavered either, but name of the post makes me think I am wrong. Wins usually need to be in 43-100 percent range to beaver, and I don't think you quite have 43% here. I also think he wins slightly more gammons. Feels close though.
