Before the penalty kicks, that was a match. It was 0-0 or 1-1 in regular time. Then in OT, the French rapidly scored twice. The French were exhausted, the Germans never gave up. The German keeper almost killed a French attacker. The Germans scored twice and won the penalty kicks - what match!

In the Netherlands, it is often said that you can't prepare for penalty kicks. I live in Belgium now and my children do penalty kicks after each match probably as a preparation for exactly this. 9 year olds and mentally ready for the KO stages of the Europeans ....
