Isnt this fairly obvious that taking off two leaves 5 checkers remaining (3 rolls), hitting leaves 6 checkers remaining (3 rolls), and puts white on the roof, setting them back by half a roll? Yes, there are some numbers which will only bear off 1 checker on a miss immediately, but there are also some post hit sequences which negate that effect when assessing the numbers.

Hitting seems pretty clear to me. Then again, in this gammon-aggressive score anything to increase the gammons won without costing you too much in overall win % has to be worthwhile.
