I overlooked the 18-10 opposition here; that makes me like your play better than I did a moment ago. But before I read any other comments, I chose 18/14 10/9 duplicating 2's and improving the position of my 10pt checker. I feel fairly confident that 18/14 10/9 is better than 18/13. Unfortunately I can't remember specific examples offhand, but it seems that I've encountered a couple of decisions lately that are similar to the choice between 18/14 10/9 and 18/13 here, and the flexibility/diversification has usually been worth the extra shots.
