He was part of one of the most successful bridge pairs of the seventies, Rubin-Granovetter. I believe he took second in the first or second Plimpton, then won the Professional Championship a few years later, maybe a year before Nack won it? He then went on to make a gazillion dollars trading. He is Patti's husband and a nice guy.
