whites takepoint at this score must be lower than what it is for money...i think around 20%..has white got this?, im sure he has a lot more than this in terms of single winning games, but factoring in the gammons will always make a big difference when one side has none ,and my thinking is that while white has decent winning chances here, he cannot justify taking the cube with the weight of the gammons coming into play against him...... so i guess this as a drop and then wonder whether blue should play on for the gammon or double ,just looking at the position tells me there are many gammons for blue, if blue doesnt leave a shot on this roll then the timing of the game dictates that white compromise his position, and even if blue rolls his worst and leaves the double shot then unless blue gets hit he is not getting redoubled...if blue were 2 away it would seem obvious to play on because to double at 2 away would kill his gammons and also give white an automatic redouble........at 3 away blues gammon value with the cube at 2 gets decreased from a centered cube..but i dont think enough to warrant a take ,so i double as blue to prevent any of these losses and to get to 2 away. and not worried if he takes or not.
