I was referring to all types of enthusiasts that participate in their sport at least once a week. It seems clear, in the U.S. at least, that there are likely 10 times as many people competing in tennis as there are in cycling, but I would still guess there are more people that cycle at least once a week.

I know this was not the original question, but the original question seems odd to me, since it seems so clear cut as to the correct answer. I guess my question may have a clear cut answer as well, especially if you include China, where I would guess it could be 100 times or more as many people cycle at least once a week.
