Ebay will turn in near future from a house of auctions to a general selling platform(attacking the Walmart of internet, Amazon). By the way, there is soon no more difference between internet and other selling. The frontiers will fade. That should also an impulse for the backgammon community to think about the difference between online and offline backgammon.
One thing is the barcode scanning app, showing you instantly other offers from the same thing, and the next thing is picture based "googling". By now search machines are writing based. But the future will be to make for example a picture from the cool shoes you've seen and then just searching for it based upon the picture. We have the barcode app, image based searching is coming. Apart from the smallness of the backgammon market the technique above described, should not be the problem.
At least, playing online with my iphone by my side, making screenshots?! It's like the WADA. Always one step behind.
