You want to see some drama, more than you want to see some good backgammon

No. I want to see both good backgammon and 'more drama' (link).

You probably never watch the first quarters of a basket or football game? And when watching poker you prefer the "all-ins" at the final table, not the finesse plays that brought the players there over the course of 10-20 hours of grinding good poker?

I don't watch any of these. I'm not into poker, and basketball and football (soccer) are most of the time boring for me. YMMV.

But I watch tennis and it is never boring.

You certainly won't see many 8 cubes!

Can you tell me how many 8-cubes were in the two semifinals? How many 8-cubes do you expect in 25pt final?
Yes, the chance to see 8-cube in 25pt match are higher than in 7pt/9pt/11pt match, but is that "many 8 cubes"!?

In fact, you will see fewer redoubles.

I'm not sure about that.

I love to see those 8 balls once in a while.

Me too. But 4-cube in shorter match will produce similar effect as 8-cube in a very long match. And I'm sure there will be more 4-cubes in best of 3 11pt matches than 8-cubes in 25pt match.

You will never see a player trailing a match by much

What is much? Difference in points won or difference in MWC?
I agree, there will be no 10-point lead in 9pt match; but I would say that trailing 0-6 in 9pt is more "trailing by much" than 0-10 in 25pt match.
