All I need clarification on now is what the hell is the game of dice? Never recommend using 'dice' to mean a die. The term die is not antiquated, it's just right. Check an actual dictionary page or a real dictionary, not wiktionary. I know it's hard to believe, but everything on pages like wiki or wikti is not 100% accurate. The citations or references used for this page made me laugh.

I will give you a leg to stand on, perhaps it's different in the UK area. In the US it's a no no.
