Sorry, But I disagree with Stick on this one

I believe if a dice lands on it's corner, or is cocked in any way, it is deemed to be cocked if it comes to rest (stops moving). It doesn't matter if the players had a chance to declare it cocked or not. Otherwise, a player can wait until sunset for the die to fall if he liked the number on the flat die.
This is just another area that should be better clarified by a Guide--I agree that the rules would be far too long if all these things are covered in the rules themselves, but a more detailed Guide, with examples, would end most of these kinds of questions and problems.
Don't hold your breath, because we've been working on such a guide nearly a year, but we are in the final stages and if and when it is accepted, you won't all agree on the rules and the interpretations (that's IMPOSSIBLE) but I promise you will all agree that most of the typical situations that come up that are now debated and unclear and interpreted differently by different tournament directors will be covered with a definitive rule and examples.
